Couldnt disagree more with anonymous; curry sauce and mushy peas may provide colour, but most certainly ruin the purity of the dish. A true 'fish supper' should be battered cod anyway, and a battered sausage is not a satisfactory replacement.
disgraceful, my misguided friend, gravy provides the essential moisture that complements the chips- and the unique artifical flavouring of the curry jazzes up what is essentially a bland meal.
Personally I would happy dispense with the fish/ sausage and have chips, peas and curry sauce

Crucially: Salt and Vinegar?
And why no condements? Mushy Peas? Curry Sauce? Tomato Ketchup? Your clearly a fan of the "plain" fish supper
Surely mushy peas and curry sauce are integral to the dish. They are, I would suggest, what makes a fish supper
can we make a request for a curry... we are very impressed with the blog but want to see some home-made spicy food.

Salt and Vinegar - Yes
Mushy peas - no, and I'd rather peas weren't discussed on the blog - they're not good
Curry Sauce - maybe
Fish - yes, but I was in a hurry
Home made curry - a great idea, next week perhaps?
I'm intrigued as to how a sausage is described as being a "faster" food than fish?
It's quicker to eat, mostly due to the fact it's much smaller.

Mushy peas are God's peas, how can you not eat them?
