Refettorio for dinner

Rossini to start with

Followed by a plate of Tuscan meats while we chose the rest of our food. Perhaps the highlight of the meal. The salami with fennel was particularly good. Tasted amazingly fresh.

Followed by prawn ravioli with courgettes. I thought this was great. Amazing flavours, and all the flavours came through distinctly, yet also combined well.

Liver (nicely pink) with spinach and roasted pumpkin for main course. Fantastic - rich and meaty, yet not too overpowering. Sweetness of the pumpkin worked well with the liver. Posted by Picasa

Rossini is champagne with strawberries

It's very tasty - not quite as sweet as a Bellini (champagne with peaches)
