Relais de la Poste - 6 (and final)

Dessert was a prune and armagnac tarte. The thin channel at the abck of the plate is filled with armagnac, which you could dip the tarte into. The ice cream was thick and nutty. The white blob was a mint foam which was very refreshing.

Another dessert on the table - Chocolate 5 ways - A mousse, an ice cream, a cornet, a souffle and a brownie.

Petits fours to finish

Amazingly, didn't feel as unwell as you might think having eaten all that food. I couldn't eat like that every day, or even every month, but a few times a year it's amazing. The photos can hopefully carry some idea of what the food is like, but not the whole theatre of a restaurant like this. The quality of the service, the other guests, the ambiance, the unusably complex sink in the gents . . . Posted by Picasa

In your introduction, you state 'don't expect much writing, but I may add the odd idea or comment along the way'. Has there been a change in policy?

Good point, anonymous.

I've decided that it is worth having a bit more chat, as long as it's about the food. Particularly for restaurants, people reading the blog like to know what the food was like, and whether they should visit or not. In this way I hope it will become more useful as a restaurant review and recommendation site, as well as a record of what I've eaten and a home for my food photography.
