Final meal in France
A local restaurant for a final meal in France. Very rustic, but had been recommended
Started with some duck rilletes on the table. They were great - meaty and oily and very moreish.
Starter was foie gras - this time cooked three ways. Pate with pink peppercorns, Pate with chillis and hot with fig sauce.
The foie gras was nice, but as I looked out of the window next to me I could see the view of the garden - foie gras is nice, but to hear the ducks and geese quacking away as you eat it does present a certain challenge.
Fillet steak. Good, but I probably should have remembered to order some vegetables.
