Sunday lunch

Crisp chicken thighs on thyme and garlic potaotes, with a bit of sherry

Served with a green salad

Dinner party

Started with thinly cut Milano salami, with crushed rosemary potatoes and a green salad

Followed by slow roasted spicy belly pork, with steamed rice, and pak choi in an oyster sauce

Went well with a nice New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc

Christmas dinner again

Third Christmas dinner of the week was at a restaurant in Soho, and a little more traditional, although no less tasty. Started with beetroot cured salmon

Followed by roast turkey with the trimmings

Finished with apple crumble

Out to the Larder in Clerkenwell. Started with belly pork, black pudding and apple

Followed by a perfect duck confit with puy lentils, sprout puree and veg

Finished with a Christmas pudding parfait

Dinner in Edinburgh

Dinner at Creelers in Edinburgh. Started with a faultless fishcake on a celeriac and herb salad

Followed by an excellent Dover sole

Very good food indeed - wholeheartedly recommended
