The Three Chimneys

Lunch at the Three Chimneys in Skye. Excellent food, friendly service, great location. Only shame was how little of the stunning view you could see from inside!

Strted with an amuse bouche of fish broth

Followed by a woodpigeon starter

A superlative main - one of the best fish dishes I've ever eaten - contained hake, skate, squid, hazelnuts and very fresh vegetables
Finished with a chocolate brownie 'with boozy cherries'

Dinner at Lochbay

Dinner at the exemplarery Loch Bay seafood restaurant. Stunning location, fresh fish, reasonable wine list.

Monkfish grilled with a herb and garlic butter, served with chips and fresh veg

Followed by a rich chocolate tart, with prunes in Armagnac

Freshest fish

Fresh fish from the harbour, straight off the boat

Started with some langoustines, briefly boiled and served with a garlic butter

Followed by some haddock

The fish was dusted in seasoned flour, and shallow fried in butter and oil

Served with a green salad, and new potatoes
