Dinner at the King's Head in Orford - an unseasonal, but tasty, roast belly pork with cabbage, parsnip and mash

A day fo fishing and eating at http://www.foodsafari.co.uk/ in Orford - started with a trip down the river to lift lobster pots

And some grey mullet

Then a visit to Pinney's oyster beds

And a tour of the smoke house

A barbecue supper

Bruschetta to start, with crushed broad beans and fresh courgettes

Followed by Halloumi, sausage and vegetable skewers

Landais supper

Trying to replicate an evening dinner from the South West of France - started with an excellent, if somewhat meaty, salad of smoked duck, pine nuts, lardons and foie gras

Followed by frilled pork chops with new potatoes and spinach

Hot smoked duck

The duck breasts were cured for half an hour in a salt and sugar mix, with some crushed peppercorns and bay leaved

Then placed in the smoker with some applewood chips

And hot smoked for about 25 minutes
