A new recipe from Moro East - Venison in a sherry, rosemary and paprika marinade, served with crispy potatoes, roasted peppers and watercress

Followed the recipe for the potatoes to the letter, but on reflection could just have bought kettle chips

Out to Tierra Brindisa in London for a long delayed Christmas night out

Too many dishes to remember them all, but some great food, and a tasty rioja

Spicy Saturday supper

Rolling some dough for flatbreads - a new recipe with yeast, yoghurt and olive oil

Cooking spicy pork shoulder meatballs

And griddling the flatbreads, which puffed up in a gratifying fashion

Served with a quick tomato salsa and some more of the yoghurt

Beef Stroganoff

Frying strips of fillet steak

For a simple beef stroganoff with steamed rice

Simple chicken supper

Pan frying some butterflied chicken breasts, before spreading them with pesto and mozzarella, and finishing them under the grill

Served with rosemary roast potatoes, and a green salad

Salmon fishcakes, with spring onions and capers

Floured, egged and breadcrumbed

Fried quickly, and served with a homemade tartare sauce

Poached salmon

Poaching a whole salmon in a court bouillon to see us through the weekend

A bargain - a fancy dinner, and plenty of food for days to come

Feels like I've been away for ever, hence the delayed blogging. Anyway, a full Christmas dinner

My contribution this year was limited to the cranberry sauce, and vegetable peeling
